About Me
My name is Rosie Gay and I run RosieHealth, an Independent Health Visiting service in East Cheshire.
I am a Registered Nurse and Health Visitor and my health visiting experience spans over 20 years. I am also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage and an Independent Specialist Nurse in Paediatric Continence.
An Independent Health Visitor is a fully trained and qualified health visitor who has decided to work outside the NHS. This can be for various reasons, but my aim is to offer parents a high quality service based on the principle of being able to have more time to get to know them and their children.
As an Independent Practitioner,I have autonomy and flexibility, which means I can provide the support that parents want: consistent information and advice from the same professional, whom they can get to know and trust.
In response to parents requests, I run classes for parents and young children, such as baby massage and baby signing classes and baby first aid and weaning workshops, as well as breastfeeding and postnatal depression support groups.
Like my NHS colleagues I am Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
I am a member of the Royal College of Nursing with whom I have public and medical indemnity insurance; I also have enhanced CRB certification.
My home is in Bollington, Cheshire and am married with two sons and a stepdaughter. In my free time, I love being outdoors and walking my dog in the hills where I live, and planning the new house we are currently building!
